Hot Shots! Part Deux

Directed by Jim Abrahams

A Rambo parody and comedy sequel, demonstrating Poledouris's ability to deploy his trademark epic style for comedic effect. Playing military-action conventions perfectly straight — which is itself a form of deadpan comedy — the score works by refusing to wink at the audience.
