It's My Party

Directed by Randal Kleiser

A deeply personal and intimate departure for Poledouris: he scored and performed this AIDS-themed drama — about a man saying farewell to family and friends before his death — entirely for solo piano. A dramatic departure from his orchestral work and one of his most vulnerable and affecting performances. The film starred Eric Roberts and was directed by longtime collaborator Randal Kleiser.
